Backlit Display Bathroom Scales

Illuminated screens for low light

These listings feature scales with internal lighting behind the LCD or LED screen. This makes the numbers easy to read in early morning or late night conditions without turning on bright overhead lights. The high-contrast displays are designed to be visible from a standing height for most adults.

This catalog includes slim tempered glass models for home use and larger physician-style scales. Many units offer a capacity between 396 lbs and 550 lbs to accommodate different users.

Professional and home features

The listings in this set vary from basic home scales to professional medical equipment. Some models include specialized functions like 'hold' for steadying a reading or 'tare' for weighing objects while standing on the platform.

• Anti-slip platform surfaces
• Hold and tare functions
• Tempered glass construction
• High-capacity medical frames
• Multi-unit toggles for kg and lb

Selecting a high visibility model

Look for models with high-contrast digits if you have low vision. Some scales in this catalog also include a hold function, which keeps the weight on the screen after you step off. This is useful if the display is obscured during use.

How does the backlight turn on? Most screens light up automatically when you step on the platform. The light usually stays on for several seconds after the weight is locked. Do these scales use more battery? The LED backlight uses a small amount of power. Most models use standard AAA or button cell batteries to maintain the display. What is the tare function used for? This allows you to zero out the weight of an object, like a pet carrier. You weigh the object first, press tare, then weigh yourself with it. Are the platforms slip-resistant? Many models in this catalog feature anti-slip mats or textured glass. These are designed to provide better grip for bare or damp feet.
